THE HUNDRED DAYS WAR
It is the year 550IA in Duran Fuqouis. In the past century, tensions have been rising between the neighboring countries of Esterria and Omartan. In the last decade several attempts have been made to negotiate peace. Recently, what looked to be the final meeting, and subsequent signing of the Treaty of Aoi, failed disastrously.
Now the two countries have declared war, and are gathering armies to meet each other in the Valley of Kings. Drafts have been sent out, calling for all able bodied men and women capable of riding to answer their sovereign’s call.
Welcome to the Hundred Days War. This is a prompt based challenge, where you and a partner embark on a journey of hardship, tempered by the sweet taste of victory.
Esterria has been seeking a trade highway through Omartan for the past century. Omartan, after recently throwing out foreign invaders from the north, reluctantly agreed to discuss the matter. Each attempt to negotiate a solution; however, has been met by failure. Most recently an Esterrian emissary was poisoned in Omartan, while the king of Omartan woke to an amateur assassin in his room with Esterrian coin in his purse. After that disaster the two countries have given up on a peaceful solution.
Death and destruction awaits you and your regiment, but the prospect of knighthood beckons.
In serving your kingdom you will complete a set of challenges, where each challenge you complete brings your kingdom closer to victory.
The road will be treacherous, but have faith my dear soldier. The rewards you reap will be beyond imaginable.
Good luck.
A regiment will be made of two horse & rider pairs. Entrants may use different mediums from one another (art/literature) or collaborate on the same entry.
Participation with a partner is strongly encouraged, though single participants are accepted as well. Armies will have an even number of people, so the possible number of points earned will remain the same.
Countrywide Point Tracker & Military Roster
Each prompt will have an open time of 2 weeks before they must be turned in. You are free to work on prompts whenever you choose, though there will only be a 2 week window to submit. Failure to submit the prompt before the deadline will result in a [0] for that prompt.
I will continue to accept players for the ESTERRIAN ARMY ONLY. We need 2 more players to even out the sides. Keep in mind you won't have any extra time to complete the first prompt.
HOWEVER, if we don't get two more players, Esterria will be granted 2 ghost players who will earn the default base points [3] for each submission.
To submit a prompt, go to the prompt card and leave a comment with your name, army and a link to your entry.

- Gather your Weapons/Armor: Your rider must report to the capital, and meet the armorer. They will ensure your rider and their horse are properly outfitted. There is a variety of armor styles and weapon choices available; however, how does your rider pick? (Explanation/Research of Equipment must be provided)
- Meeting Your Regiment: Kitted out, your rider must begin training with their regiment. While regiments are made up of hundreds of riders, your rider meets/is stuck with one other rider in particular. How do they get along?

- On the Warfield I: Open Ended Response. Draw whatever you like.
- Extra - Repairing Gear: War wears through things. Be it a chink in your chainmail or your horses thrown shoe get it fixed now before the next wave of fighting!
- At Camp with Companions: A quick rest at camp. Do you sleep or relax by the campfire with your friends? Or do you get saddled with the dull task of guarding the armory while your friends party at camp?
- Extra - This Food Sucks! The life of a soldier is rough and the camp food is nothing to boast about either. You’re risking your life for your country and this is how they repay you?
- On the Warfield II: Open Ended Response. Draw whatever you like.
- Extra - Fallen Friend: Someone your rider cares about is injured or killed.
- An Offer of Peace: Both armies are exhausted and have suffered many losses. The Kingdoms have tentatively agreed upon a peaceful resolution, and shortly will cease all fighting. Before final negotiations each king has called a final court. You have been asked to attend. Draw your rider on the mounted kingsguard, processing into court on horseback, or participating in the revelry afterwards.
- Extra - The Long Road Home: Your term of service is up, it’s time to pack up and go home or continue to serve your country. What do you decide? If you return home, who is waiting to greet you? What does this journey home look like? If you decide to stay, where do you go next?
Armies
BAERTH, Esterria
Esterria is a smaller country, locked in on three sides by ocean. The coastal air provides incredibly mild summers, but the mountain range and hilly countryside ensure lots of rain, and cold temperatures during the winter. The ruling king and queen are the first strong rulers the country has had in years, and they’ve been building an army since their coronation. The harsh climate provides a rigorous journey to adulthood for every inhabitant. It’s a predominantly fishing based economy, and those who work on the boats are provided with a limited education as the business is so time demanding.
Baerth is a sprawling port city that smells distinctly of ocean brine. Regardless, many nobles commission summer homes be built in the city, and so it is filled with fine houses. Closer to the docks the peasants live nearer their boats, hauling their catch up from the harbor in carts. The market is made largely of local foods and goods, as the harsh winters make crossing the sea dangerous. As such, during wintertime the people of Esterria must do without a lot of vital goods.
CERRASAIS, Omartan
Omartan is a middle sized country with a diverse climate. The marine coast provides wet, cool winters, with mild summers. The mountains are an alpine climate, and generally even colder. A desert divides the country in two, but its people remain a united force, with a strong ruler, and a large military. Education is provided by local religious officials, who teach children to read and write. Houses a generally small and simply built, but kept in good repair.
The capital of Omartan is a glittering jewel of architectural triumph among Omartan’s generally simple construction. With decent harvests, the arts have flourished, and Omartan has become a center of music and trade. It is filled with people, and the streets are often lined with merchants from afar. The royal military patrols the streets, generally mounted, and keeps the peace. The general, Jasper King, is the youngest general in Omartan’s history at only thirty one, and known for the iron grip he has on the city and his soldiers.
Use of these characters will not garner you any additional points and are for storyline use only.

ARPG Groups + Eclipse?
Hi all, it's been a while. I'm mostly curious as to how people have been running or even participating in ARPG groups after the implementation of Eclipse. I have used dA very sparingly in the past year, mostly just to upload art, and the idea of opening or running any sort of registry or ARPG has been incredibly daunting. Group related functions seem very limited and editing and updating journals every month and including thumbs seems like a drag. I was wondering how the rest of the community was handling this change. If you're an admin, how have you chosen to run your group? is it still dA based, have you moved to a web site? discord? if you're a community member, how have you enjoyed groups etc. with the eclipse changes? what methods have worked best for you? I've found a ton of enjoyment in mostly discord based ARPGS (shameless plug to the lovely admin squad for @rail-birds, ya'll should check it out). It has very limited dA use required, and it's mostly just a place to store

UPDATE: (thanks for MistyofSunrise for the tip). ran WHOIS search, which gives domain info and this is what it pulled. Though frankly, all the companies try really hard to cover their asses with statements like "we can't remove website contact, please contact the web host" which makes trying to determine what can be done 130592385098x more difficult and confusing. Frankly, I don't 100% know what to do with said information, but if you feel like taking action here are some helpful links. From what I could tell, the site is hosted via Cloudflare.com -https://www.cloudflare.com/abuse/form PrivacyGuardian.org - https://www.privacyguardian.org/ is listed as the Technical contact on their WHOIS site. Has a report form on the link above. namesilo.com - https://www.namesilo.com/report_abuse.php is the domain registrar. But I know next to nothing if it's actually helpful to report. WHOIS search - https://www.whois.com/whois/pngflow.com Again, I dunno if this helps anyone but I'd figure
